Winter Scenes from Summit County, Colorado.

Challenge.
Go up to Summit County and get some winter scenics.

Solution.
My plan was to drive up the Dillon area and take a drive around the reservoir. There was some new snow, not a lot, but enough to help any photo.  After capturing a number of images, I found myself on Loveland Pass, right near A-Basin, at sunset. The sky was a rich blue, as the last of the sun made the mountain tops glow. To get a correct exposure, I zoomed into the bright spot, took a reading, than with out changing anything, created my image.  This allowed the warm glow on the peaks, to come through in my photo.

About Me

Evergreen, Colorado, United States
I worked for the Rocky Mountain News for 28 years, until they went out of business. I now do freelance work, post this weekly blog, ski and play with my four grand children. I still have the love to get out and take photographs, which brings me great peace and comfort.
