Challenge.
I finished up my contract work for the month of March and had some time left. There is a place that I have been wanting to check out called Paint Mines Park, so I headed that way. It is west of Colorado Springs in Calhan, Colorado. It's someplace I new very little about.

Solution.
Before I go anywhere, I check it out on the internet and if it is a park of some kind, I call the ranger, to get additional information. I will also check out the weather forecast. When I arrived around midday, it was completely overcast but it was supposed to clear out. After checking out the area, I went and got a room. I had noticed that the park was in a valley, early morning and late afternoon light would both produce nice images. The park was remarkable with bright colors and beautiful rock formations. It was pretty easy getting around, not hard hikes. This place can get pretty hot in the middle of summer and icy in the winter so spring and fall would be the best time to visit.
