Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado.

"X Shot" information.
Camera - Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
ISO - 400
Shutter - 1/25 sec.
F/stop - 22
Lens - 16/35 zoom.
NOTE - tripod and cable release used for this photo.

LOCATION.
1. Chatfield State Park is about half an hour from downtown Denver.
2. Take the Wadsworth exit, south off C-470.
3.  I paid an $8 dollar fee for a day pass.
4. It was real warm for this time of year, making a very nice evening.

CHALLENGE.
The wave clouds over the foothills were making wonderful sunsets each evening but I wasn't able to get away for a shoot. I finally got a free evening and set off for Chatfield Reservoir, wanting to get the sunset reflected in some water, this seemed like a good location.

SOLUTION.
Arriving at my location around 3 pm, things looked good, clouds were forming and the reservoir was calm but before sunset a breeze picked up and the glassy water was gone. A new location was found, it was the river inlet, which had a small pond, protected by some trees and was a sheet of glass. At sunset, the clouds never turned real nice colors but still looked real nice. At this location I was also able to get photos of birds and the rising full moon.
