Colorado - Big Spring Snow Storm in Evergreen.

I have lived in my home in Evergreen for almost 30 years and this was the biggest April snow storm, we had over 40 inches. Not being able to leave my home, I shot pics of my family.

Colorado - Denver International Airport's Teepee like roof cleaning - Flash Back

Have you ever thought how the fabric roof of DIA is cleaned? The roof is reflective of the snow-capped mountains to the West. The design by Fentress Bradbum Architects also evokes the early history of the teepees of the Native Americans on the Great Plains. Check out the photos below.

Colorado - Feature shots around the Monte Vista area.

"X Shot" information.
Camera - Canon EOS 5D Mark II
ISO - 1000
Shutter - 1/800 sec.
F/stop - 5.6
Lens - EF 70/200 zoom

Last week I posted photos of the cranes in Monte Vista. It took 5 days to get those images. A combination of bad weather, real strong winds and the cranes spending most of their time on a field that gave now public access. Why they did that field is a mystery to me. Not sure what happened this year but some of the good fields for taking pictures were bone dry, no crop was planted at all. Don't think I will be coming back again! So anyway I had a lot of free time so ever day I would drive around looking for feature photos. This is a collection of those photos.
