Ken Papaleo: X Marks the Shot: December 2016

Colorado - Papaleo's Best Photos of 2016.

For the last three months my photo blog has been a recap of images from the past, a rotator-cuff tear and surgery has kept me on the sidelines. Starting in January I will be able to go back out in Gods country and see what he has for me. I hope to publish a new blog every two weeks.

Colorado - The Full Moons of Colorado.

"X Shot" information.
Camera - EOS 5D Mark II
ISO - 1600
Shutter Speed - 1/80 sec.
F/stop - 4.5
Lens - 500 mm

Note  - Tripod and cable release used for this shot.

The best time to photograph the full moon is at moon rise or moon set, just as the sun goes down or comes up. Find out ahead of time where on the horizon the moon will appear, then line up something with the moon, to make the photo more interesting.

Colorado - The interesting Clouds of Colorado.

"X Shot" information.
Camera - Canon EOS 5D Mark II
ISO - 400
Shutter Speed - 1/500 sec
F/stop - 8

Sure Colorado has beautiful clouds at sunrise and sunset but there is more to be seen. During other times of the day clouds can catch your eye with their beauty.

About Me

My photo
Evergreen, Colorado, United States
I worked for the Rocky Mountain News for 28 years, until they went out of business. I now do freelance work, post this weekly blog, ski and play with my four grand children. I still have the love to get out and take photographs, which brings me great peace and comfort.
