The foothills are a great place to look for elk. Each morning I would go for a ride to see what I could find. Most of the time I drew a blank, but there were those moments that made it worth while.

Colorado - Day Tripper 6 - Golden Gate Canyon State Park.

This State Park is only one hour from my home. Wildflowers were the reason for this trip. With my cancer I can't go on very long hikes. So most of these shots are within a 100 yards from my car. I didn't see many fields of flowers but found real nice individual flowers. I used my macro most of the time, doing flower portraits. The light was real nice. My wife Pam was my driver as we discovered Golden Gate State Park.

My wife, Pam, showed me a shot she took of the pollen, with her cell phone, in our area. It's been pretty bad this year. So I went out looking for more pollen photos. I found this stream just covered with it. The ducks and geese made interesting photos.
