Colorado, Hand Standing Elk, Evergreen.

 I was driving down to Evergreen and came upon a large group of elk. They were going over a guard rail. This young one stopped and then did a hand stand to get over and then walked a step, before coming down on three legs. One foot is about to fall off.

Colorado, Blood Red Sun, Mount Evans, caused by all the smoke from the fires, in the Northwest part of the country.

Last Thursday I went to Mount Evans for a photo shoot, maybe some goats, sheep and some wildflowers. Getting there before sunrise, I sat in my car, waiting for first light. Not knowing the front range had filled in with smoke from the Northwest, I was surprised when the sun made it's appearance. Coming out of the smoke, it was a deep red and then changed a number of times. The photos below show those changes. The photo above was on Cannel 4, part of a smoke story.

Last weekend I photographed the Second Annual Logan Andrew Stewart Memorial Golf Tournament at The Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield. The event is put on by Walk With Me, a nonprofit. “Walk With Me is devoted to giving practical, financial and emotional support to families who are learning to live in the wake of their child’s death prior to or shortly after birth. It is our mission to provide refuge for grieving families and help them break through barriers that stand in the way of hope.” The organization was founded by my daughter Jamie and her husband Andy, after the death of their son Logan, who lived less then an hour.
