My visit to Arches National Park turned out way better then Canyonlands (last weeks post). The air was clean and I had nice clouds one day and a clear blue sky the next. Like I mentioned, winter is a great time to visit this area. My "X Shot" came just before sunset on the blue bird sky day. The end-of -day shadow was creeping toward the "Balance Rock" area. Instead of going tight, I used a wide angle lens, to get as much of the three color sunset as possible. My light reading was taking from the highlights of the image and then left that way for the shot.
