Went to the Moab area to take images for my photo blog, last week. This is a great time of year to visit, no crowds and real nice prices for lodging. The temps were around 60 degrees eveyday. The first stop was in Canyonlands National Park, around 3 pm. This turned out to be the only decent day of shooting at this park. After this, the haze was so bad, I didn't take another shot at Canonlands. My "X Shot" came when a cloud caused a shadow on some of the peaks in the valley below. Exposing for the high lights and using a large depth-of-field, to get everything in focus, was all it took to get this shot.
More images from Canyonlands.
