1. Drive time from Denver to Ouray is about 7 to 8 hours.
2. You are pretty close to the ice walls so you really don't need big glass to get nice shots.
I used a 70/200 zoom on one camera and a 300 on the other.
3. Wear boots that are good in the snow and ice.
4. The town of Ouray is a great place to visit anytime of the year!
