Challenge.
It was full moon time again and once again I was going to try to get a shot of the moon coming up behind the Denver skyline. For the last four months, clouds have gotten in the way. Clouds were predicted, but has always, I go, you never know what you might see.

SOLUTION.
From the foothills I could see Denver very clearly, no smog, everything looked crisp. Of in the distance, behind the city, clouds could be seen. These could be a problem. The time for the moonrise came and went, it was twenty minutes later when my subject showed its face. The image was real nice but not what I was looking for. I decided to go out, early the next morning, to get a shot of the moon setting over the Continental Divide. A good spot for this is on the bridge, over I-70, at the Buffalo Herd Overlook exit. I got some nice images but never saw the moon, it was behind storm clouds. I decide to go back to this spot the next morning to give it another shot.  This time the clouds were out past the divide, leaving the snow capped mountains looking gorgeous. When the sun came up, they glowed, but again the moon was blocked. So when it was all over, I saw the moon only once but recorded many nice images. When I plan on a shoot, I don't let weather stop me, unless it is really, really bad. If I didn't go, these images wouldn't have been shot.
